    What a sweet fellow.

The Long Beach convictions keep rolling in, and the Dateline Long Beach episode hasn't even aired yet! This predator received the usual \"Long Beach sentence\" which isn't a sentence we're pleased with but again, we're not the judge hearing all these cases so there's little we can do about it ourselves. Just more evidence that the system in some places needs to send a stronger message against internet predators.

He has received three years probation, sex offender registration and the usual restrictions (no internet, no kids), sixty days of cleaning up Californian roads via CalTrans, some fines and time served. We're not jumping for joy over the sentence, but we're happy to have the conviction regardless.

Notes from the Contributor, El Charro
To be honest I thought this guy was joking at first; he moved so quickly I actually had to slow him down to make sure he was, indeed, serious. He went from \"hi\" to wanting to meet in the first 6 minutes and he repeatedly requested the address so he could come meet what he thought was a 13 year old female home alone.

Sadly, he was serious, and I am glad that PeeJ, Dateline and the Long Beach PD were there to greet him in September, 2006 instead of a real kid.

Although he got credit for time served, Corye will now have 60 days caltrans, 3 years probation and registering as a sex offender to look forward to.

Thank you to Dateline and the Long Beach PD that worked with us, you guys are truly wonderful.

This is our 117th conviction since June of 2004 and our 77th conviction for the year 2006 thus far.
