Another day, another conviction. This one gets to register as a sex offender after he spends a year in jail. He showed up at our Laguna Beach February 2006 sting. We were especially, well, surprised that people would show up to the Laguna Beach sting as it was just a month after our record-breaking Riverside sting in the same state. Yet, they showed in droves and we learned a valuable lesson: These people are obsessed.

Ryan Mount is one of these people and now he's one of our convicted \"people.\"

Notes from the Contributor, Kit Kat
In the less than half a day the bust house was open in Laguna Beach, thirteen men showed up to have sex with minors. Ryan was the last to arrive and the first to enter a guilty plea.

Ryan was a fast mover. He mentioned sex within minutes of initiating the chat and gradually got more aggressive, discussing oral sex, masturbation, and things he would like to do to twelve-year-old \"Emily.\" Ryan knew what he was planning was illegal and mentioned going to jail several times. He knew the risks and the consequences. But like most predators, Ryan Mount thought molesting a twelve-year-old girl was worth taking that risk. Now he faces a year in jail, five years probation, and must register as a sex offender.

Ryan showed up with condoms, lube, and a meth pipe. There is no doubt in my mind what would have happened had a real child been in that home instead of the LBPD.

Many thanks to Van de Camp who did a superb job verifying. Apparently this idiot can't drive in the rain and was very late. I can't thank her enough for giving up her much needed sleep and sticking this one out.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks Senior Deputy District Attorney Mike Fell, Detective Tony White, and all the fine officers involved in this operation. They were professional, dedicated, and a pleasure to work with.

This is our 91st conviction since June of 2004 and our 51st conviction for the year 2006 thus far. This is our sixteenth conviction in California.
