Five years in jail probably won't be a picnic for ol' Pete.

Peter Sciacca showed up at our Harris County, Georgia sting operation and was not too pleased with the results. Of course, he would later grow to be even less pleased. Featured on Dateline NBC and then convicted, Sciacca has irrepairably harmed his life just as he wished to do to a young kid.

Sciacca will now get to think about that as he has been sentenced to a ten year jail term with a minimum five years to serve. He will then have ten years of supervised probation, and a lifetime of sex offender registration. A fitting punishment, indeed.

Notes from the Contributor, Jay Alternative
Peter was a difficult case for me. I'm going to just throw it on the table. I was feeling sorry for him giving him the benefit of the doubt because of his weight. During our chats, I would sit and wonder, has he resorted to young boys because the adult gay community can be superficial?

Don Pedro gave me a very good perspective. In reality, it had nothing to do with being gay, straight, or transgender. It is about being a child predator. No matter what adverse conditions or life situations one faces, there is no rational reason to seek sexual involvement with a child. Even at one's lowest moment, for people like us, the thought of such involvement with a child is repulsive.

Peter had options. There is someone out there for everyone. In the end, why differentiate him from child predators who are in perfect shape and muscle bound? Granted the child predator who is in perfect shape might get the reaction of why would someone who could have anyone want a child? The answer is the same answer I offer for Peter, and every other individual who violates children - they are scum and sub-human

Many thanks to the good folks in Harris County, Georgia for the proactive stance and wonderful Southern Hospitality.
